Fashion & Art Feature SectionStyling Into 2000!From Radiance Winter 2000 In Full Swing opened their doors five years ago, when owner Sharon Silverstein left her position as manager of Audrey Jones in downtown San Francisco to strike out on her own. "I wanted to offer plus-size women a more contemporary look in a smaller boutique setting," she says. The store’s first location was off Union Square in San Francisco, which she ran successfully for three years. She then made the move across the Bay to the quaint Rockridge area of Oakland. "I love this new location. We have a bigger space with easier parking and we’re in a great neighborhood." As the store name suggests, In Full Swing is filled with spirited, unique clothing that conveys an attitude as well as flatters the body. They carry fun, casual, and updated clothing in sizes 14 to 24 (certain selections run larger into supersizes), as well as accessories, such as scarves, some lingerie, swimwear, and jewelry. Many manufacturers familiar to plus-size women can be found at In Full Swing, including Flax, Amanda Gray, and Stephanie Schuster. When you’re in the Bay Area, visit In Full Swing at 5937 College Avenue, Oakland, CA94618. Call them at 510-654-5144 or fax them at 510-654-5434. They’re open Monday through Wednesday, 10–6; Thursday, 10–8; Friday and Saturday, 10–6; and Sunday, 12–5. Remember,
