MAKING IT BIG |

IT BIG, created in 1982 by Cynthia Riggs, is a natural fiber
clothing company for large and supersize women. They specialize in
garment-dyed cottons, both wovens and knits, washable rayons, linens,
and ethnic prints. They are a mail-order company with a full-color
catalog that comes out twice a year (summer and winter). In their
catalog and at their store, they carry a wonderful range of colors and
beautiful seasonal prints. Their summer line features an extensive
collection of linen and linen-blend garments. Says Riggs, “We’ve
found some superior linen fabrics; the more they’re washed and worn,

Big
on Batik Sarongwear has been bringing you fashion and fun
since 1996. Says owner Cathy Miller, “Last summer we introduced the
very first batik bathing suits for large sizes! Everyone is raving about
the eight foot matching sarong/pareo that comes with each suit.” This
sarong is long enough to tie into any style you can imagine. The suits
are 85% rayon, 15% Lycra. The sarong/pareo is 100% woven rayon.|
